Ops… Yeah, I guess I see what you’re saying. There is a definite connection between the concept of Mother May I, which talks about purposes behind actions, and ICSI, which puts those very purposes at stake.

ICSI puts the player in a strange and alien place where the motives behind his actions are not under his control. Mother May I play is an equally strange and alien place where the relationship between motives and consequences doesn’t exist.

However, I thought you were asking whether there is any connection between ICSI and the ongoing discussion at Deconstructing Infinity and John Kim’s journal, which seems to be about whether Mother May I actually exists, whether it is a good or bad thing, etc… In that regard, ICSI is another topic altogether.
